Wholesale Livestock: Bulk Goats and Sheep for Commercial Farms and Importers

Fargo Family Farms supplies wholesale livestock to commercial farms, breeders, cooperatives and importers who need goats and sheep in volume. We source from our USA farm and our partner farm in France, and we handle the health records, export paperwork and transport for large orders. Every commercial order is quoted individually, based on the breed, quantity, destination and timeline.

Who Wholesale Is For

Commercial producers

Farms building or expanding meat, dairy or wool operations that need many animals of the same type.

Importers and agents

Buyers who bring livestock into their country for resale or for local farmers.

Breeders and cooperatives

Groups improving a regional herd or flock with new genetics, often in shared orders.

Government and projects

Development and restocking programs that need healthy animals with full documentation.

What We Supply in Volume

Our commercial range focuses on proven production breeds. Meat producers often choose Boer, Kiko and Savanna goats and Dorper, Katahdin, Suffolk and Hampshire sheep. Dairy operations look at Saanen, Alpine and Nubian goats. Wool producers consider Merino and Rambouillet sheep. We also build breeding herds and flocks, and we can source specific bloodlines on request.

How a Wholesale Order Works

  • 1. Enquiry. You send the breed, quantity, age, sex, purpose, destination and target dates.
  • 2. Sourcing. We check which animals we can supply from the USA, France or both, and in what numbers.
  • 3. Quote. You receive options, a price per group and a realistic timeline.
  • 4. Preparation. Animals are examined, tested and vaccinated, and records are prepared.
  • 5. Paperwork and booking. The health certificate and export documents are prepared, and the transport is booked.
  • 6. Shipping and arrival. The animals travel to the port or airport and onward, with inspection and delivery at your end.

Planning Large Shipments

Large orders need more planning than single animals. Sea freight is often the most economical way to move big groups, while air freight suits smaller, high-value consignments. We plan the route, crates or vessel space, feed and water, and arrival handling with you, and we avoid leaving key decisions to the last minute.

What Commercial Buyers Should Prepare

Import permits

Start the permit process early. Large consignments often need approvals that take time.

Quarantine space

If your country requires quarantine, arrange an approved facility big enough for the whole group.

Receiving facilities

Have pens, water and feed ready for arrival, so the animals can settle quickly.

A clearing agent

Appoint someone to present the documents and receive the animals at the port or airport.

Wholesale Livestock: Questions

Is there a minimum wholesale order?

Commercial orders are quoted individually, and the quantities we can supply depend on the breed and the season. Tell us how many animals you need and we will say what is possible.

How is wholesale pricing set?

Pricing depends on the breed, age, sex, registration, quantity and transport. You receive a written quote before you commit.

Can you supply the same breed from both the USA and France?

Where the breed is available in both, yes. We compare origins for suitability, route and cost, and recommend one.

Do wholesale orders come with health records?

Yes. Animals are examined, tested and sold with records, as described on our health standards page.
